Trojans basketball team gearing up for 2010

With a year of basketball in the West Winnipeg Athletic Conference already under their belts, the Portage Collegiate Institute Trojans varsity boys are ready to take some more strides forward for the 2010 season.

The Trojans introduced their 13-man roster on Thursday, which includes two practice squad players, with a fairly high turnover of players from last year's team.

"We've got some work to do," said Trojans' head coach Angus MacInnis. "But, they're a coachable group, so if we can develop the kind of offence we want to run, then we'll be alright."

The Trojans are a bit lacking in height and on-court experience this year, and will likely get things done through work ethic and by playing their systems effectively.
